A lifetime of Pictures

I've spent decades taking pictures on everything from 110's, Polaroids, Samsungs, Apple Phones to much more complex Canon, Nikon, Leica and Sonys!

There is an ease in taking photographs now that didn't exist just 10 years ago, and every day the cameras get better and better, and easier to use, which means - more pictures to snap.

Between old cameras, phones (old and new), and my updated professional setup (so thrilled to upgrade to the Sony A1) I have over 100,000 pictures.

If not for some mistakes I might have double that number.

If not for some other mistakes, better than half of what I do have would be usable, marketable, shareable photographs - but unfortunately, a large number of my own pictures are less than stunning - many of them will never be viewed by anyone but me, and even then not for more than a moment or two as I'm scanning a catalogue (yes, I am a photograph hoarder, proudly).

Very few photographers, now or in past generations, are able to create the perfect shot from the moment they press the capture button - even Ansel Adams "touched up" his shots.

Your Everyday Photos is my attempt to help you, the every day photographer, come to appreciate the every day photographs that you take - and perhaps skip some of my less than stellar mistakes in the years ahead.
